Bark in Beulah Park, June 28

Third annual Bark in Beulah Park is just around the corner!

Grab the kids and the canines, and meet us at the library by 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 28, to parade with Rosie the Reading Dog down to Beulah Village Park.

This year we’ll not only be bringing back the Best in Show competition, with zany categories like Best Dressed and Best Owner Lookalike, but we’ve put together a prize-filled Scavenger Hunt that’s going to make this year even more fun than the last — thanks to our generous sponsors: Canidae, Platte Lake Veterinary Clinic and Bob & Sandi Powell. We’re also wicked excited that we’ll hearing from guest of honor Sarah Dobbrastine, founder of the Second Chance Mushers, about her work rescuing and fostering her very special sled dog team. And be sure to bring a few dollars so you can enter the Guess the Number of Treats in the Jar contest.

Now, even if you can’t make Bark in Beulah Park, remember that Rosie the Reading Dog is at Darcy Library every Thursday from noon to 5:00 p.m. and will also be at our Summer Reading Program’s Library Family Fun Day on August 2. For details on all our summer events, including Sciencetastic Storytimes and Off the Page, give us a call (882-4037), visit darcylibraryofbeulah.org, or just drop by the library. Can’t wait to see you!
