Elberta Solstice Festival, June 21, 2014

Event organizers say it will be “WILDER THAN EVER”

The Elberta Solstice Festival is back for its 12th year, Saturday June 21, 2014! Join the teeming masses of music and food buffs descending on our magical village amid the dune bluffs of Lake Michigan for a grassroots music festival with local food, beer, games, and Michigan’s best beach, and other attractions to amaze and astound you, all capped off with one of the premier fireworks displays in the region. Benzie County’s number one music festival is family friendly, quirky, cutting edge, and eco-conscious, with some of the best bands, craft beverages and artisanal food around.

This year we have fabulous favorites and fantastic new voices on the main stage: THE ACCIDENTALS, ALFREDO, MEDICINAL GROOVE, E MINOR, THE STANDING HAMPTONS, BLAKE ELLIOTT & THE ROBINSON AFFAIR, K. JONES & THE BENZIE PLAYBOYS, BLUE DIRT, SOUL PATCH, and late at night, G SNACKS. Favorite attractions are back, including the bounce house and GROSS FOOD EATING CONTEST, kids games from 2pm to 5pm, and all new this year, all the way from Detroit, WOOD-E THE CLOWN, MAGICIAN KEITH STICKLEY, and ANIMAL ENCOUNTERS with the infamous GHETTO GATORS. While your reptile brain is turned on, gorge yourself on food by Elberto’s Taqueria, Conundrum Café, the Cabbage Shed, and many others, and wash it all down with local beverages by St. Ambrose and Acoustic Mead and your fave lagers inside the beer tent.

Take advantage of FREE SHUTTLE SERVICE between Solstice Fest and Frankfort’s Art Fair and Antique Car Show. Stay on into the beautiful bayside night for the awesome WOLVERINE fireworks display.
